About Project
Højtbelagt Game is the official Danish national lottery. It is made to feel like a warm café. In this game, people get to work with nice-looking open-faced sandwiches and special boxes. You get to touch and move things, which makes it feel fun and real. The game brings together old Danish food traditions and new ways to enjoy the lottery, so it feels fresh and easy to get into. It makes something you know feel new and nice to look at.
Client and Project
The client got to Whimsy Games and wanted to have a new kind of lottery experience. They asked for something that looks nice, shows real Danish culture, and is fun for people to use. The plan was to change the usual national lottery into a more fun and interesting cultural experience. Players would feel excited to win and, at the same time, enjoy a part of Denmark’s food traditions.
Challenges Faced
-
Authentic Danish Atmosphere
Creating a space that truly shows what Denmark and its food traditions are like. This lets players feel like they are in a real café.
-
Exclusive Sandwich Designs
I make sandwiches that look good and stand out. Each one is made to fit what the client wants. These sandwiches grab attention and people remember them.
-
Adherence to Traditional Recipes
All sandwich designs must stick to classic Danish recipes. This keeps the real taste and feel, while also making them look good as images.
-
Animations and Visual Effects
Make the website come to life with moving pictures and simple effects. This helps people feel more part of the site while keeping it working well on all devices.
-
Limited Budget
The team works with a small amount of money. They have to create good artwork, animations, and effects while spending less. They do not let the graphics or gameplay feel any less fun or clear, even with less money to use.
Role of PO
The Danish national lottery team kept a close watch on the game’s theme and how the brand looked, making sure the food and culture parts stayed true to Denmark’s past. They worked with Whimsy Games each day as the game was made, giving feedback, sharing tips on real sandwich recipes, and watching over the whole feel of the game. Whimsy Games took care of the way the game plays, how things move, and worked on the tech side of things.
